School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Important Calendar Dates to start 2026

All students return to school.

Year 7 first day

For Year 7 - Introduction to Fort Street High School commences at 9:00am.

Year 11 Camp
Information will be provided to parents and carers before the end of Term 4, 2025.
Wednesday 11 February
School Photographs Day
Information and Photo Sheets will be sent home for parents/carers to place their order and return to the photographer on the day. Students are to wear full school uniform which includes the school tie.
Wednesday 18 February
Catchup Photographs Day
For students absent on School Photographs Day, this will be the final opportunity to have their individual photo taken.
Wednesday 18 February
Study Skills Evening (Parent/Student event)
Welcome BBQ and Study Skills session with Dr. Prue Salter will be held in the school hall.
Friday 20 February; commencing at 10:00am
Speech Day at Town Hall
The annual school Speech Day is a compulsory event for all students. Students must be in full school uniform at this event which includes the school tie. A permission to attend note will be sent to all parents/carers.  Year 7 students make their way to Town Hall and released at the end of Speech Day, around 1:00pm.  Roll Call will occur before students enter Town Hall.  Parents will receive a text message if their child is unexplained absence or have arrived late.  Students who require teacher supervision will be escorted back to school until 3.15pm.

Remembrance Day Assembly & SRC Induction

Whole school assembly to commemorate Remembrance Day as well as the induction of new SRC students.

P&C Annual General Meeting

Date: Wednesday November 12, 2025

Time: 7:00pm P&C Annual General Meeting - 7:45pm P&C General Meeting

You are invited to attend the P&C Annual General Meeting in the School Library on. The Annual General Meeting is followed by the General Meeting for November. All community members are very welcome.

CSSI UTS Visit

Date: Wednesday November 12, 2025

Time: All day

Year 10 students who took part in the Combined Schools Science Immersion visit UTS.

Open Morning

Date: Wednesday November 19, 2025

Time: 9.30am - 11am

Bookings open Wednesday Nov 5th at 9am. Bookings can be made here.

Bookings are essential and places are limited to 2 per family.

Secondhand Uniform Stall

Date: Friday November 21, 2025

Time: 12.45pm for students, 1pm for parents and carers.

The Second Hand Uniform Stall will be open at Lunchtime in front of the Uniform Shop. Everything is priced at $5 except winter jackets and blazers which are $30.

Parents/Carers who arrive early will have to wait outside the Front Office till 1pm.

This is a cashless, card only event.

Year 7 Orientation Day

Date: Tuesday December 2, 2025

Time: 8.40am - 12.45pm

Welcome assembly followed by school tour and activities. Morning tea for parents and carers.

Year 8-11 Orientation Day

Date: Wednesday December 3, 2025

Time: 12.30pm - 3.15pm

Welcome presentation followed by school tours and meeting students from their year group. Student only event.

Year 8 Vinnies Sleep Out

Date: Thursday December 4 - Friday December 5, 2025

Time: All Day

All Year students participate in the sleep out on Thursday night and are involved in activities on Friday. Funds raised go to the

House Celebration Day

IMP Summer Concert

Dinner in the Fountain Quad followed by performances from the IMP ensembles

Year 7 Picnic Day

Year 7 enjoy a picnic day away from school. Details will be emailed directly to parents closer to the event

HSC Results Celebration morning tea

Date: Thursday December 18, 2025

Time: 10am - 11am

Year 12 students return to celebrate their HSC results with teachers.

Last Day of term and Talent Quest

Last day of term 4. Students take part in the SRC led Talent Quest
