School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Important Calendar Dates to start 2026

Monday 2 February

All students return to school.

Year 7 first day

For Year 7 - Introduction to Fort Street High School commences at 9:00am.

Year 11 Camp
Information will be provided to parents and carers before the end of Term 4, 2025.
Wednesday 11 February
School Photographs Day
Information and Photo Sheets will be sent home for parents/carers to place their order and return to the photographer on the day. Students are to wear full school uniform which includes the school tie.
Wednesday 18 February
Catchup Photographs Day
For students absent on School Photographs Day, this will be the final opportunity to have their individual photo taken.
Wednesday 18 February
Study Skills Evening (Parent/Student event)
Welcome BBQ and Study Skills session with Dr. Prue Salter will be held in the school hall.
Friday 20 February; commencing at 10:00am
Speech Day at Town Hall
The annual school Speech Day is a compulsory event for all students. Students must be in full school uniform at this event which includes the school tie. A permission to attend note will be sent to all parents/carers.  Year 7 students make their way to Town Hall and released at the end of Speech Day, around 1:00pm.  Roll Call will occur before students enter Town Hall.  Parents will receive a text message if their child is unexplained absence or have arrived late.  Students who require teacher supervision will be escorted back to school until 3.15pm.

SRC Future Leaders Conference

The Future Leaders Conference is a multischool conference that aims to provide educational opportunity, connections and skills to incoming school leaders through the lessons of other speakers and students.
